My Holidays

In the holidays,the first thing that I went to was the movies. I went with my mum and my sisters.I watched Despicable me 2. It was a funny movie because the man and his partner hid in the rubbish bin and in the end they liked each other so they got married.The next day  was boring because it was raining so we had to stay home and watch tv all day.

In the second week I went to my Aunt's for a visit. I played video games there and had a yum cake.My Aunty just made it when we got there. It was so delicious when I ate it. After that I went to look for my Aunty’s cat. Its name was Taz. When I got back home, I watched TV.

I really enjoyed those days when there was sunshine. The wet days were boring because I had to stay in the house and watch TV.

My Holiday in Tonga

My Holiday In Tonga

During my Second Term School Holidays, I went to Tonga. I went to Tonga with my Sister, Cousins, Aunty and my Grandma.

We went on the Air New Zealand plane to Tonga. It took 2 hours and 35 minutes to get there. When we arrived there and got out of the plane, it was so hot. Our second day in Tonga was cold. It was cold because it was winter, and I didn’t know. I felt so happy to see my family in Tonga. My Grandpa and Grandma have been  in Tonga for over 50 years.

While in Tonga, we went to town and bought some Tongan T-shirts, jandals, necklaces and water melons.  My sister got a necklace with our last name ‘Fa’avae’ written in capital letters. We went on a taxi back home.

When we got home we were so hot, so my sister went to the shop with my cousin to  buy some cold soft drinks. When they came back with some soft drinks, I straight away got my drink, opened it and drank it all.

After that I went outside with my cousin and we played rugby. When my cousin passed the ball to me, I ran through all of the boys and I got a try.

They were so easy when I ran through them. After that I had a shower. The shower was so cold but I kept on washing myself. After my shower I went to sleep. It was so cool.

When it was time to say goodbye, I felt so sad and I cried because i was going to miss Grandpa and Grandma.

My Holiday

In the holidays, I went to the movies with cousin’s family because it was her birthday. My aunt gave us some party packs so we didn’t have to get some popcorn. I watched Monsters University and my aunty  and my two uncle watched a scary movie.

After the movies we went to my Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  When we got there, my Grandpa started a  B.B.Q. While Grandpa was doing the BBQ, we played outside with my uncle.Then I helped my Grandpa with the B.B.Q to.

After that I helped my Grandma prepare the dinner table. Then all of us had dinner together. When it was dark, we went home. The evening with my grandparents  was a fantastic time in my life and I enjoyed that time and will never forget.

Cupcakes

On Wednesday we watched Breakfast News on TV One. The news reporters had cupcakes with blue icing for William and Kate's son Prince George Alexander Louis. We decided to make some too! First we mixed the dry ingredients. Next we added the liquid and dampened it all. Then we put the cases in the muffin tin and poured the mixture in. After it cooled, we iced them with blue icing (it was a boy) and put a yellow pebble on top for the crown. They were YUMMY!

Trip to the Stardome by Fusi

On Thursday, the 9th of May, Room 9 went to the Stardome in Greenlane. We went to the Stardome to look at the Observatory and to learn about space travel. We went by a bus to the Stardome with Rooms 5 and 8.

When Room 9 got inside the Stardome, we lined up in our groups. When the Educator came out of his room, he invited us inside the Observatory.

When we got inside the Observatory, the Educator told us to sit on the chairs. The chairs that we were sitting on were kind of a lying down chairs. While we were lying down on our chairs, the lights went of and the Educator said that we were going to watch a movie. We  watched a space movie. It felt like as if we were in space too. It was so awesome in there.  

When the movie was over, we went the planet room. The Educator talked to us about the Sun, Moon and the Earth. He also answered all the questions we had about the Sun, Moon and the Earth.

After that, it was time for us to come back to school. We got onto the bus and came back to school.
