My story review

Our Glittering Baby By Janice Marriott

This story is about Sharon’s mother having a baby girl. The children called her the Glittering baby. When mum

had a baby, Dad rushed home from the hospital to tell

his family. The children got some glitter and made a birthday card for the baby.Then the family went to see the baby in the hospital. When dad saw the glitter card, he got angry because he did not want the baby to have any glitter on her. They also had a family photo with the baby.

When the children got home they cleaned the house but there was glitter everywhere. Dad did not want the baby to get the glitter on her.

The next day dad went to get the photos. The photos had small stars on it. It was the glitter which was on the children and it was in the photo as well.

This story was interesting because it reminded me about when my baby brother was born.

MOTAT Visit by Ngatokorua

On Wednesday, Room 1 students went to the MOTAT on the

bus to learn about transport.  We lined up and walked

to the hall and sat down.

After that Anna talked to us about the activities. First we walked into a room that had old transport cars.

We saw the old cars that didn’t have any engines. My Nana walked with me and Room 1 students around the Motat.

We looked around this old house that had a doll in it.

My Nana saw lots of old transport cars and Room 1 came

with us.

There were lots of people there. We learnt lots of things at the Motat. It was a nice day. Then we went on the tram ride as our last activity.

Finally we got back and walked into the bus and went back to school. We got out off the bus and we saw Glenbrae students going home.

Then my Nana and I walked home.

The Water Fun Day

On Monday, the 18th of the February, all Glenbrae School students had a water fun day.First we got changed into our house colours. Then we lined up and walked down to the school courts and sat down in our house lines.

After that  we did our  first activity that  was the three legged race. I got a friend and we carried water in a cup to fill our house bucket.

Then we went up to  do the zig zag race with cups of water. This game was  cooler than the first game.

My friends played with me and it was so much fun.

Some parents were there to watch us play. When all the activities were over, we went  and sat down at the

courts. Then Mrs Moopanar told us that the Green House had won the competition.

After that we went back to our classroom to change into our dry clothes because we were wet.Then we had our lunch.

We felt that the water fun day was a lot of fun.
